Video Shiur: Searching by the Truth | Hitbodedut (personal prayer) | Likutey Moharan 38 #5
When a person is getting into prayer seeking to do teshuva (repentance), to have a dialog with the creator, in Hitbodedut (personal prayer). One word takes you to a new place every time. Obligates you to do teshuva (repent, to fix) to achieve new things. All these changes happen inside. The world has not changed change, but you have changed, you want to serve Hashem, you want to go to the field, to do more teshuva, to get closer to the creator. People may have not understand the inner change that you are achieving by wanting to do teshuva and taking time to speak to Hashem about it. For people from outside, those who do not do hitbodedut, you have not changed, but you are changing little by little. Speaking to Hashem in hitbodedut, Hashem moves you to do complete repentance. To change you one prayer, hitbodedut at a time.
By doing hitbodedut, to have a desire to change and moving towards Hashem in prayer, this is the begining of teshuva (repentance). Hashem is waiting for you in the field. The truth is hidden for those who seek it. Teshuva is available, but changes happen in the field, when we speak (in hitbodedut).
